How to get there?
by car
When approaching by car, take one of these Autobahn-exits:
- A3: OB-Lirich/DU-Meiderich, then to “OB-Zentrum”
- A40: MH-Styrum, then direction “Oberhausen”
- A42: OB-Zentrum, then direction “MH/OB Zentrum”
From there follow the signs to “Zentrum Altenberg” or “Rheinisches Industriemuseum”.
Parking: There is a huge P&R parking lot right between the train station and Zentrum Altenberg, access via Hansastraße.
by train / public transport
As you can see from the Google Maps above the train station is very close to the venue. It’s actualy less than a five minute walk from Oberhausen main station to the venue. There is even a direct train line to Amsterdam Centraal which takes less than two hours.

by airplane
The closest airport is Düsseldorf (DUS) with a direct train line to Oberhausen main station (between 25 and 40 minutes travel time).
The Ryanair airport Weeze (NRN) is also fairly close. There is an express shuttle bus to Duisburg main station. From there it is usually a five minute train ride to Oberhausen main station.
The airport Cologne-Bonn (CGN) is also well connected to Oberhausen main station. Travel time round about 90 minutes.
