Cassidy Snider & The Wranglers

Hearing this bluegrass shuffle song for the first time instantly made us miss live music. Cassidy Snider has a great blues voice and with an incredible energy. Old style banjo, washboard percussion, bar piano, fake trumpet. In my head I can see a packed room dancing and singing along to this great song:

Icecream Hands - Ten Thousand Reasons

Finally available on Spotify is Icecream Hands' incredible album "No Weapon But Love" (physical copies available via bandcamp.com). In our "stay safe sessions" series, we were honored to present a world premiere of their song "Can You Feel My Love".

For our "songs that got us through the year" playlist, we chose the song "Ten Thousand Reasons" (to be alive). It's a touching ballad, beautifully composed.

"There are places in the heart
where only songs can start
when you're so close
and all alone

Let me give you one, five, ten thousand reasons to be alive"

Jessie Monk - Dark Cafe

Jessie Monk is an incredible storyteller, amazing voice, and Joni Mitchell instantly comes to mind. The intro completely drew me into the song:

„She’s working in a dark cafe
telling herself it’s okay
she grew up dancing ballet
dreams she never thought would stay
She told herself it was a temporary fix
said she’d be dancing in the city by 2006
but you know her momma needed her
and Jason got a job laying bricks"
