the curtain remains closed – Static Roots Festival 2021 cancelled

We suppose this comes as no surprise and although it feels difficult, there is no way around it: there will be no Static Roots Festival in 2021. Back in November 2020 when the news about the vaccines were a ray of sunshine, we were hoping for a better situation in the summer.

But things haven’t really changed.

The well-being of our audience, of staff and musicians is our first responsibility. We could not guarantee for that. As an indoor festival, the restrictions and measurements are almost unmanageable.

Moreover, we received the first few cancellations of North American acts who could not manage to go on tour in these uncertain times.
