Golden and Rust - Ruby
A brilliant Americana ballad with plenty of sad piano and an even sadder pedal steel guitar, a fantastic sing along chorus, beautiful harmonies and a wonderful message:
„Everybody wants a little more time
Everybody wants that all will work out just fine
Everybody wants to be forgiven all those they leave behind“

Side Pony - Bad Ideas
The latest single from Nashville Americana duo Side Pony - featuring Alice Wallace and Caitlin Cannon. An utterly uplifting country song with plenty of positive energy, their comical video is absolutely entertaining and we can totally see what kind of storm they could raise playing live on a stage!
In their own words: “This tune was actually inspired by a person in our life who had nothing but poor suggestions to offer us and it’s a discussion as to whether the fallout is worth it. But it morphed into a celebration of our own bad ideas, which are decidedly more fun. Except our latest bad idea, which was to make our own Laverne & Shirley-esque sitcom for the music video collaboration with East Nashville filmmaker Scot Sax.” — Alice Wallace, Side Pony
“Yeah, that’s one song I’m glad we got out of idea land and into tangible form. Getting those impulses down on paper and embedded in an Alt-C rock stomp can be better than embedding them into your personal life. If you can’t beat your bad ideas, join ’em!” — Caitlin Cannon, Side Pony

Lorkin O'Reilly - Twist (featuring Laura Quirke)
Some intense beauty all over the place. Scottish-American singer-songwriter Lorkin O'Reilly re-released his 2019 song "Twist" with Irish musician Laura Quirke, turning the song into a duet - which was the original idea of the song.
Lorkin's examination of masculinity and expectations of romance come alive with the new style, with Quirke’s rustic folk vocals standing tall against his. About the song Lorkin adds, “‘Twist’ deals with the beginning-of-the-end of a marriage and the pitfalls of an open relationship. Our marriage fell apart for a number of reasons but certainly there’s things I would have liked to have done differently. It felt important to own those things in this song“.
„Come twist your legs around me again
I'd like to see you in the evening
I'll leave at six o'clock
Get changed in the parking lot
And this is how you lose her in an hour
Boy your tale we've all heard before
But it's hard to see you sink into your ego
Yeah you better bet
That I've got you pegged
This is how you lose me in an hour
There's a thousand ways that I could be a man
But I'm walking in the footsteps of my dad
There's a blood stain on the carpet in our room
And I cannot seem to get it out for good
Last night I drove her around in your truck
Well I still owe your dad money on the insurance
We listened to Townes Van Zandt
And my hand went up her dress
Tell me how you like me now
Boy you look for praise when you hand me your mistakes
It's a weakness that I've always seen in you
Don't try to deceive me
You're no mystery to me
My deaf ears they fall heavy on you now
There's a thousand ways that I could be a man
But I'm walking in the footsteps of the past
There's a blood stain on the carpet in our room
But I cannot seem to get it out for good“
