Welcome back Evangeline Gentle!
The Static Roots Festival is thrilled to announce Canadian singer-songwriter Evangeline Gentle as the latest addition to the lineup for 2023.
With a sound that blends folk, pop, and Americana, Evangeline's music is both contemplative and affecting, evoking lush emotional landscapes and seeking to unite audiences with a sense of shared experience.
Evangeline's 2020 debut self-titled release received international acclaim, earning her interviews on NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday and Forbes, and radio play on BBC, CBC, SiriusXM, and more. She has also shared the stage with the likes of Kathleen Edwards, Tim Baker, Begonia, Basia Bulat, and Rae Spoon.
In 2022, Evangeline Gentle played the Static Roots Festival alongside her guitarist Nick Ferrio and brought a tear to everyone's eyes with her deeply touching performance. We are excited to welcome her back in 2023 with a full band. Her highly anticipated sophomore release is set to arrive this year, and we can't wait to hear her new material at the festival.
Evangeline Gentle's music is a celebration of queerness and queer culture, with her upcoming album "Where The Diamonds Are" weaving this theme throughout its tracks. Produced by Jim Bryson and mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Philip Shaw Bova, the album's ten tracks explore the pursuit of open-heartedness and celebrate the strength it takes to stay soft in a world that can harden you with a single headline.
We're looking forward to experiencing Evangeline's powerful and moving music at the Static Roots Festival 2023. Don't miss your chance to see her perform live!
