About Ben de la Cour

Born in London, raised in Brooklyn, and now living in the heart of Nashville, Ben de la Cour has lived a life that reads like a novel. He’s a former metalhead and amateur boxer who has lived on the streets, and you can hear every mile of that hard road in his voice.

His music is often described as "Americanoir" or "Southern Gothic". It is dark, haunting, and deeply poetic, channeling the spirits of Townes Van Zandt, Mark Lanegan, and Nick Cave. On his latest album, New Roses, he dives even deeper, blending his adept acoustic fingerpicking with atmospheric, experimental sounds.
