I have experienced the force of nature that is Irish Mythen a couple of times now, and let me tell you: they are the real deal. There are very few performers who can command a room like they can. In one moment, they will have the entire venue roaring with laughter at their sharp, hilarious banter. In the next breath, they will drop a song like "Maria" or "55 Years," and you will find yourself moved to tears.

Named in memory of the legendary driving force behind the Kilkenny Roots Festival and a dear friend of ours, this slot is reserved for an artist who embodies the spirit, the passion, and the "craic" that Willie loved so much. Irish Mythen fits this description perfectly.

Born in Ireland and now calling Canada home, Irish Mythen is a celebrated contemporary folk artist.
