When we look back at the history of the Static Roots Festival and our "Static Roots Presents" series, there are certain nights that are forever burned into our memories. To understand why this next announcement means so much to us, we have to go back to September 2021.
It was our very first concert after the long, forced silence of the pandemic. We hosted the show in the "pottschwarz" coffee roastery at the historic Lindgens-Areal in Mülheim. Only forty people were allowed to attend, the scent of freshly roasted coffee filled the air, and on a tiny, makeshift stage built specifically for that night, absolute magic happened.

A Force of Nature and the Swedish Brothers
Jerry Joseph is an absolute legend and a true force of nature on stage. On that September night in 2021, the American songwriter finally stood in front of a live audience again. Performing barefoot, armed with his signature gravelly voice, he tore through a set so full of vocal power and weighty statements that everyone in the room was instantly mesmerized. He single-handedly pulled us back out of the musical darkness of the pandemic.
But the greatest stroke of luck that night was a beautiful piece of spontaneity. While on tour in Sweden, Jerry had crossed paths with the Swedish folk-rock duo The Dimpker Brothers. Martin and Adam are not only fantastic musicians, but they also knew every single note of Jerry's songs. Without hesitation, they joined him on his journey to Germany. The pristine, sweeping vocal harmonies of the brothers blended so perfectly with Jerry's raw, weathered Americana energy that it created an unforgettable trans-Atlantic musical fusion.
The Circle Completes Itself
Jerry, Martin, and Adam provided the soundtrack to our rebirth in 2021. They reminded us why we do this, what live music feels like, and what "Big Heart Music" truly means. There is simply no one who fits the spirit of our 10th Anniversary at Zentrum Altenberg better than this trio.
