Can you believe it has been ten years?
From our very first chord in 2016 to the 10th Anniversary edition in 2026, the Static Roots Festival has been a labor of love, fueled by a simple motto: Roots music to feed your soul.
We’ve spent the last decade curating line-ups that defy boundaries and expectations, turning the Zentrum Altenberg in Oberhausen into a sanctuary for high-quality Americana, Folk, and Alt-Country. We are proud to be known as "the best little festival you can go to anywhere" - a place where the music is intimate, the atmosphere is friendly, and the memories last a lifetime.
This year, our slogan is "Chasing the shiver since 2016". It’s a tribute to every spine-tingling moment we’ve shared so far, and a promise of the magic to come.
