Big News: Static Roots Festival Kicks Off Early This Year! Announcing the Welcome Night!

Hello Static Roots Family!

We've got some incredibly exciting news to share with you all! The Static Roots Festival community keeps growing, and with it, our desire to bring you even more fantastic music and good times. So, for the very first time ever, we're thrilled to announce we're extending the festivities and adding a special Thursday night event to kick things off right!

Get ready for the inaugural Static Roots Welcome Night - A Honky Tonk Special happening on Thursday, July 10th, 2025!

Important Note: New Venue for Thursday!

Please note: This special Thursday event will NOT be held at our usual festival grounds at Zentrum Altenberg. Instead, we're taking over the wonderful Restaurant Gdanska in Oberhausen (Altmarkt 3, 46045 Oberhausen) for this unique evening. Gdanska is a fantastic Polish restaurant known for its great atmosphere and lovely, spacious outdoor seating area – perfect for a summer evening!

Now, let's talk music! We've curated a brilliant double bill guaranteed to get your feet tapping and start the weekend with a bang:

Dom Glynn & His Sunday Best

First up, get ready for London's finest Honky-Tonk ensemble, Dom Glynn & His Sunday Best! Dom, originally from Birmingham, is an extraordinary singer-songwriter and fingerpicker whose vintage Americana sound, backed by the thrilling fiddle, bass, and drums of 'His Sunday Best', is pure, infectious, good-time music. They've been making waves, impressing crowds at festivals across the UK and catching the ear of critics – Holler recently named them one of the best new Country & Americana artists to watch for 2025!

Savannah Gardner & The Recovering Good Girls

Sharing the bill is the incredible Savannah Gardner & The Recovering Good Girls! Originally from California but now a standout presence in the London scene, Savannah blends outlaw country with soul, blues, and gypsy jazz, creating something truly unique. Her powerful storytelling, soulful voice, and magnetic stage presence speak volumes, earning her a coveted nomination for Live Act of the Year at the UK Americana Awards 2025! Prepare for a performance full of heart, energy, and maybe just a little bit of beautiful bad-assery.

The Plan for the Evening:

The music kicks off at 8:30 PM. Both acts will treat us to a full 60-minute set each, making for a fantastic evening of live roots music.
