PETE GOW & The Siren Strings
“If you are an existing fan of the music prescribed by this genre, then it is unlikely you will see a show like this anywhere else.”
Pete Gow’s highly-anticipated solo album, Here There’s No Sirens, produced by Joe Bennett (Dreaming Spires, St. Etienne) was released in April 2019, launching a new era for a songwriter who has been making some of the finest Americana music of the last decade.
From 2007 until 2019 his songs were central to one of the UK’s best loved Americana/ Alt. Country bands – Case Hardin, which released four albums of original material – Colours Simple (2016), PM (2013), Every Dirty Mirror (2011), and Some Tunes For Charlie Spencer (2007).
Colours Simple was described as a ‘rock masterclass’ and awarded 4/5 stars by Q magazine. Q also made ‘PM’ its ‘Roots album of the Month’ and it featured on Bob Harris legendary BBC Radio 2 Country Show.
Gow is a striking performer whose live concerts have been described as ‘… a truly fearsome beast’. He has performed at the prestigious London Palladium and Case Hardin appeared for three consecutive years at London’s O2 for the C2C Festival.
Pete Gow is a Clubhouse Records recording artist.

“…it’s a joy from start to finish. If Gow never releases another album, this is a legacy that he can be justifiably proud of. An exceptional listen.”

“…not a million miles away from Townes or Guy…but with a razor sharp edge that I associate with newer songwriters like Sturgill Simpson and Hayes Carll…”
- The Rocking Magpie
“This is a deeply personal and intimate set of songs with some great lyrics and astute musicianship, all recorded wonderfully and delivered with heart.”
“An intense and serious listening set and one that places Gow not merely at the forefront but the pinnacle of UK songwriters.”
-Rock N Reel Magazine
“A remarkable record, engendering, in varying proportions, elements of beauty, discomfort, empathy and guilt.”
-FOLK RADIO UK
“Gow emerges as one of the UK's most gripping, evocative and under- rated songwriters.”
-Classic Rock Magazine
The depth of feeling and expression are quite tangible in every phrase that Pete sings…he has very few peers in the songwriting stakes; in fact a more appropriate description could well be 'musical novella' such are his literacy skills.
-American Roots UK
“An intense, listening set and one that places Gow not merely at the forefront, but the pinnacle “
