Stephen Stanley – The Troubadour’s Song
Static Roots Festival – stay safe sessions – episode #003
I still remember the Sunday night in the winter of 2017, when Jeff Robson interviewed Stephen Stanley on his radio show “Tell The Band To Go Home” (umfm.com) and played some songs of Stephen’s newly released album “Jimmy & The Moon”. Brilliantly jangling guitars, amazing harmonies, top songwriting and killer melodies. This guy had to come over and play the Static Roots Festival.
And Stephen Stanley came over. Brought along his incredible band. They played the Static Roots Festival 2018. And blew everyone away. Today, July 10th 2020, Stephen Stanley released a live album of their performance. “LIVE STATIC ROOTS” is a document of magical night of live music. You can find it on bandcamp here:

Lucky as we are, Stephen contributed a video to our “stay safe session” series. This song has a very personal meaning to us, as it has become our farewell song to the late, great Willie Meighan from Kilkenny, Ireland.
